To Skarpnäcks Kulturhus
Skarpnäcks Kulturhus is located at Skarpnäcks allé 25, just a couple of minuted from the Skarpnäck subway station (the final station of the green subway line 17 south). As you leave the subway, turn right, walk straight ahead for about 200 meters, and you’ll find the entrance to Skarpnäcks Kulturhus on the right-hand side of the street.
For general information on public transport in Stockholm please go www.sl.se.
Within Scandinavia, and sometimes from other countries in the Baltic region, Stockholm can easily be reached by bus, train, or ferry:
Stockholm is also served by several low-cost airlines. Ryan Air (please see the note on Ryan Air below) and Easy Jet have flights from several countries; German Wings and Air Berlin are further options, especially if traveling from Germany. Sometimes, you can also make cheap advance bookings with SAS, British Airways, or Lufthansa. Make sure to check the baggage requirements, especially if you intend to bring and/or take big amounts of books!
On Ryan Air: Please note that Ryan Air does not serve Arlanda, Stockholm’s main airport, but two airports much further from the city center, Skavsta and Västerås. While Ryan Air holds a transfer monopoly from these two airports, there are several options to travel between Arlanda and Stockholm’s central train station (Centralstationen/T-Centralen).
To/from Arlanda Airport
* by public transport: take bus no. 583 to Märsta station, then the commuter train (pendeltåg) to T-Centralen (technically, you are supposed to have a ticket when boarding the bus, but the driver might let you on if you promise to buy a ticket at Märsta station). See www.sl.se for details.
* by the airport shuttle bus: www.flygbussarna.se.
* by the fast but expensive train service Arlanda Express:
* by taxi.
